Las Vegas, NV (KTNV) -- Domino's Pizza stores in Las Vegas teamed up to raise funds for the Muscular Dystrophy Association throughout March.

Over four weeks, 26 participating Domino's stores across Las Vegas asked customers to donate $1 or more to their order to benefit the MDA.

Domino's raised $8,609 for the MDA this year; that's enough to send 10 children to MDA Summer Camp.

"We would like to thank our generous customers for their support in making this such a successful fundraiser," said Chris Taylor, director of corporate operations of Domino's Pizza in Nevada.

The MDA is a voluntary national health agency, a dedicated partnership between scientists and concerned citizens aimed at conquering neuromuscular diseases that affect more than a million Americans.

Rachel Commeford, executive director of the MDA of Southern Nevada said, "We are thankful for Domino's and its customers, our neighbors and friends."
