Dancer due in Vegas court in fatal DUI case
LAS VEGAS (AP) -- A strip club dancer accused of driving drunk in a crash that killed a man last month is due to face a Las Vegas judge.
Court officials and her lawyer say Shauna Diane Miller of Las Vegas will appear in court Wednesday on a charge that could get her up to 20 years in prison and a $5,000 fine.
Police say the 26-year-old Miller was on her way home from an overnight work shift early March 23 when the Hummer H2 she was driving plowed into a Ford Escort, killing 33-year-old James White.
A 2-year-old boy in a child seat in White's car received scrapes and bruises.
Miller told investigators she drank two beers at the club and had taken the anti-anxiety medication Xanax the night before.
