Las Vegas, NV (KTNV) -- Clark County Commissioners could appoint a replacement to Nevada Assembly District 17 as soon as Tuesday.
The State Assembly expelled Steven Brooks from representing the district last month after a series of public incidents, including two arrests. The County received nine applications from people interested in the position. The deadline to apply was 5 p.m. Tuesday.
Those who applied include:
William Robinson II
The county also received a late application via email at 5:06 p.m. Tuesday from Brandon Casutt. His application has not been verified by the Election Department to determine if he lives within the boundaries of Assembly District 17. It will be up to the Commission to decide whether to consider his late application.
The commission will consider an appointment at its 9:15 a.m. meeting Tuesday.
