3 bound for Carson City in state official slaying
LAS VEGAS (AP) -- A court official in Las Vegas says three fugitives in the slaying of Nevada's chief insurance examiner are heading to Carson City in police custody to face murder charges.
Carson City sheriff's detectives were in a Las Vegas courtroom Tuesday to take custody of Anthony Elliot, Raul Garcia and Makyla Blackmore following their appearance by videoconference before a judge.
They don't face local charges, and weren't represented by lawyers.
The three were arrested Saturday in Las Vegas and Michael Paul Evans was arrested in Carson City on murder warrants in the slaying last week of 62-year-old William McCune.
McCune was reported missing Thursday after authorities found a bloody robbery scene at his home.
His body was found Saturday, wrapped in a blanket and duct-taped, in the Carson River.
