Lake Mead visitor center undergoes more changes

BOULDER CITY, Nev. (AP) -- The newly renovated Alan Bible Visitor Center at Lake Mead National Recreation Area is undergoing further changes.

Starting Monday, the visitor center will be closed Mondays and Tuesdays. It will remain open Wednesday through Sunday from 9 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.

Despite the changes, visitors will still be able to receive park information at park entrance stations and at the information center at park headquarters in Boulder City.

The information center is open Monday through Friday from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m.

The Alan Bible Visitor Center features a new 20-minute high-definition movie about the Lake Mead National Recreation Area, National Park Service exhibits, a gift shop and a desert botanical garden.
