CREATED Apr. 6, 2013

Las Vegas, NV (KTNV) -- Fire crews were called to an incident at the Stratosphere Casino, Hotel & Tower on Saturday.

Las Vegas Fire & Rescue said the brakes on an elevator got hot and began to smoke around 2 p.m.

The smoke then set off the alarms; however, the heat did not start a fire.

Firefighters said there were no injuries.

Some guests were evacuated while fire crews investigated.

Action News will post more information on the situation as it becomes available.
