Las Vegas, NV (KTNV) -- A local man continues to recover after a flesh-eating bacteria nearly killed him.

High school dean Eddie Garcia is up and walking on his prosthetics less than two weeks after entering rehab.

His amazing progress was recorded by his family. In the video, he's seen taking his first shaky steps.

Eddie was left with no hands or feet after contracting the flesh-eating disease.

Apart from being a local educator, Eddie is also a soccer and basketball coach for the city of Henderson.
