Non-profit group installs wheelchair ramp for disabled woman
Las Vegas, NV (KTNV) -- A 75-year-old Las Vegas will have a much easier time getting out of her front door this morning.
Volunteers showed up at Dorothy Johnson's home on Tuesday to tear out her steps and replace them with a ramp.
Johnson has debilitating arthritis.
She was overwhelmed when she saw what the volunteers were doing.
The non-profit Nevadans For Equal Access made it happen. It didn't cost Johnson a dime thanks to a grant, Home Depot and a group of local firefighters.
