Las Vegas, NV (KTNV) -- Tuesday was Primary Election Day in Clark County.
Polls were open from 7 a.m. until 7 p.m. Absentee ballots had to be in by 7 p.m. Tuesday to be counted.
North Las Vegas mayor Shari Buck lost the race for another term. Mayoral candidate John Lee won with 53.6% of the vote; Buck received 35.5% of the vote.
According to city of Las Vegas officials, if one candidate receives more than 50 percent of the vote during the Primary Election, that person will be declared elected and no general city election will take place.
If no one receive the majority, the names of the two candidates receiving the most votes will be placed on the ballot for the General Election on June 4.
