February unemployment rate lowest since December 2008 for NV
Las Vegas, NV (KTNV) -- Nevada's unemployment rate for the month of February has fallen to 9.6 percent, according to the Nevada Department of Employment, Training and Rehabilitation.
This is down from 11.8 percent from last February and the lowest it has been since December 2008.
There are currently 131,900 people out of work, a decrease of 600 from January and 31,200 from February 2012.
The current rates in each of the major areas are 9.8 percent in Las Vegas, 10.1 percent in Reno/Sparks and 10.7 in Carson City.
