Las Vegas, NV (KTNV) -- A massive fire destroyed most of the shuttered Key Largo Casino near the Las Vegas Strip on Thursday afternoon.

Approximately 120 firefighters from Clark County, Las Vegas and Henderson were called to the four-alarm fire just after 3 p.m. at the building located on East Flamingo Road near Paradise Road.

Crews arriving on scene discovered heavy smoke and flames emanating from the building. That smoke was visible from miles away.

The blaze was limited to the old Key Largo Casino, which was built in 1974 and shut down in 2005. The building has been vacant since 2007, according to a Clark County spokesperson.

Officials said no injuries were immediately reported. However, they have not been able to conduct a complete search yet of the property because of the property.

East Flamingo Road between Koval Lane and Paradise Road was shut down to traffic for several hours because of the fire.

Fire crews were still at Key Largo on Friday morning dousing remaining hot spots.

Damage is estimated at $4.5 million. It has not yet been determined what started the fire.
