Anderson Dairy oldest locally-owned business in Las Vegas
(KTNV) -- Do you know what the oldest locally-owned business is in Las Vegas?
That would be Anderson Dairy, according to an article in Seven magazine.
Anderson Dairy was founded in Las Vegas in 1907. In the beginning, it was located across from where the University Medical Center now stands.
Harry Anderson later moved the farm to Hoover Avenue and Fifth Street, which is now Las Vegas Boulevard.
In 1956, the dairy moved once again to a location near Las Vegas Boulevard and Washington Avenue. It is still in that location.
Other long-term businesses in Las Vegas include Cragin & Pike, the Las Vegas Review-Jounral, Palm Mortuary, Creel Printing, Larking Plumbing, and Del Webb Corporation.
