Las Vegas, NV (KTNV) -- Las Vegas police were called to a fatal two-vehicle crash early Saturday morning.

It happened just before 7:30 a.m. at the intersection of Wynn Road and Spring Mountain in Chinatown.

Las Vegas police said a Ford Escort was traveling south on Wynn, and a Hummer was traveling west on Spring Mountain.

Both vehicles entered the intersection and collided. The front of the Hummer struck the left side of the Escort.

The driver of the Escort, a 33-year-old Las Vegas man, was pronounced dead at the scene.

A 2-year-old child in his vehicle was transported to the hospital with non-life threatening injuries.

The driver of the Hummer, 26-year-old Shauna Miller of Las Vegas, failed field sobriety testing and was arrested for driving under the influence.

This collision was the 30th traffic related fatality in Metro's jurisdiction in 2013.
