Las Vegas, NV (KTNV) -- Family and friends gathered to say their goodbyes Thursday to a 17-year-old girl who police say was killed in a hit and run.
It was a somber day for Alexis Monasterio, who was killed earlier this week.
Pastors at the church estimate 300-400 people were in attendance for the funeral service of the beloved teen.
They remembered her passion for cooking, her love of all things Disney and Star Wars.
They remembered her good nature, friendship and smile.
Alexis was found on a road early Sunday morning and police are investigating her death as a possible hit and run.
Family does not agree and think she may have been pushed out of a moving vehicle.
Friends hope whoever is responsible will come forward.
"Of course I want that. The family wants that. My family wants that," said Jem Agustin, one of Alexis' best friends. "Our families are basically one, but you know even if the person who is guilty isn't caught, that will be on their conscience."
At this point, police have not shared an update except to say they continue to investigate what happened.
