Las Vegas, NV (KTNV) -- Las Vegas is basketball central this week.
The West Coast Conference had their championship game Monday night. The Western Athletic Conference and Mountain West Conference start their tournaments Tuesday and the Pac-12 tournament will tip off Wednesday at the MGM Grand.
The most important tournament for local fans -- the 2013 Reese's Mountain West Men's Basketball Championship -- is taking place at the Thomas & Mack Center in Las Vegas.
The Mountain West Conference tournament will begin with Nevada and Wyoming facing off later Tuesday.
The University of Nevada, Las Vegas will take to the court at noon on Wednesday. They earned the third seed in the conference and they will be playing against No. 6 Air Force.
The Thomas & Mack is the home court for UNLV's Runnin' Rebels so fans are hopeful that they will be able to use that to their advantage.
The Rebels have a good shot at making it into the NCAA tournament this year but winning the conference championship would get them an automatic bid and likely a higher seed.
Fans from all over the country have traveled to Las Vegas this week to root for their favorite team.
Also playing on Wednesday, No. 2 Colorado State against No. 7 Fresno State at 2:30 p.m. and at 6:30 p.m., No. 1 New Mexico will play the winner of the Wyoming vs. Nevada game.
The final game of the day at 9 p.m. will feature No. 4 San Diego State against No. 5 Boise State.
Top-ranked Gonzaga beat defending champion Saint Mary's 65-51 last night in the West Coast Conference tournament final at the Orleans Arena.
