(KTNV) -- For many people, Kraft's Macaroni & Cheese in the blue box was a childhood staple and much loved.
But, two food bloggers in North Carolina aren't happy with how Kraft makes its mac and cheese and they are trying to do something about it.
They say the problem is the yellow dye that makes the product so recognizable.
Lisa Leake and Vani Hari have started a petition asking Kraft to offer an additive-free macaroni and cheese.
The two women say that the yellow dye #5 and yellow dye #6 have been linked to asthma, skin rashes and migraines.
Kraft doesn't use the dyes in its product in Europe already because consumers complained about the risks.
So far, their petition has more than 125,000 signatures. They need about 25,000 more before sending it to Kraft.
A spokesperson for Kraft sent an email to ABCNews.com saying that, "The safety and quality of our products is our highest priority and we take consumer concerns very seriously."
