Footage shows elevator stabbing at Las Vegas Strip hotel
Las Vegas, NV (KTNV) -- Footage shown in court on Wednesday shows a stabbing that happened inside THEHotel at Mandalay Bay on the Las Vegas Strip last month.
Police said when they showed up at the scene, they found a man with multiple stab wounds.
Their report indicated that a husband and wife were on their way to their room when Trent Wilcox and Carlos Heredia, also in the elevator, began to harass and intimidate the couple.
On Wednesday, Eric Miller and Diane Androvich spoke about how scared they were that night.
"As they were making fun of Eric and I, I started to get nervous. I told them to please not talk to us anymore," said Diane.
"On floor 33, which was our floor, we got off the elevator and they were insulting my wife calling her all kinds of names," said Eric.
Video from elevator security cameras shows something not mentioned before.
The wife of the victim getting upset, pushing the men out of the elevator, and kicking them several times.
At one point they leave, get back in and follow the couple to another floor. There's more kicking, and when the husband gets back in, the two suspects can be seen jumping the victim and one of them making repeated stabbing motions.
Although the suspects' attorneys argued their clients were acting in self-defense, the judge declared there is not enough probable cause to go to trial.
Arraignment was set for March 19.
Bail for Trent Wilcox is set at $40,000. Bail for Carlos Heredia, who police said did the stabbing, is set at $100,000.
