North Las Vegas, NV (KTNV) -- More details are emerging about the high school volunteer coach arrested for alleged sexual misconduct with a student.

23-year-old Angelo Cruz was arrested Tuesday and charged with two counts of sexual misconduct with a 16-year-old on his team.

Cruz was a volunteer assistant coach for the Junior Varsity Girls Basketball Team at Legacy High School in North Las Vegas.

The arrest report states the CCSD police investigation uncovered instant Facebook messages between Cruz and the teen, that showcased flirting between them. The report details hugging, kissing, touching and oral sex the couple engaged in.

"They have to look at references and your work history. Then that employee or volunteer has to be fingerprinted. Then they go through the process of having a background check done my Metro, then an additional background check is done by FBI," said Melinda Malone with the Clark County School District.

CCSD said there are about a couple hundred volunteer coaches in the school district.

Cruz is scheduled to appear before a judge Thursday morning in North Las Vegas.
