Las Vegas, NV (KTNV) -- Police say an innocent bystander was hit by an officer's bullet during an exchange of gunfire on Friday.
A second innocent bystander was grazed by a bullet, but it's unclear whether it came from police or the suspect involved.
The ordeal began Friday afternoon when police received a tip that a man accused of attempted murder was in the area of Pennwood and Arville.
When officers arrived and confronted the man, he pulled out a gun. Police shot and killed that alleged suspect.
During the exchange of gunfire, a 22-year-old man was shot and critically injured, and a woman was grazed by a bullet. That woman was selling a car at the time of the shooting.
Initially, it was unclear whether those two people were associated with the alleged suspect. During a press conference Thursday, police stated they were both innocent bystanders.
The 22-year-old man, who has not been identified, remains in critical condition.
Sheriff Doug Gillespie said it appears officers were justified in shooting the alleged suspect on Friday.
Those officers were identified earlier this week.
