Las Vegas, NV (KTNV) -- New information has been released on State Assemblyman Steven Brooks.
Assembly leaders now say they'll appoint a select committee next week to conduct an investigation and recommend if he should serve in Carson City this year.
Brooks' attorney told Action News the lawmaker plans to attend next week's legislative session.
Brooks was arrested in Jan. for allegedly making threats against incoming Assembly Speaker Marilyn Kirkpatrick.
A seven-member bi-partisan committee will report back to the full assembly regarding what action, if any, should be taken.
