Las Vegas doctor arrested in sexual assault investigation

North Las Vegas, NV (KTNV) -- Detectives in North Las Vegas are investigating allegations that an area doctor sexually assaulted a patient.
The investigation began in Nov. 2012 when a representative of North Vista Hospital called police on a patient's behalf, to report a sexual assault.
Reports allege 34-year-old Mane Shah, M.D. of Las Vegas assaulted a 68-year-old Las Vegas woman during a physical exam.
Shah was the victim's attending physical during her inpatient stay at North Vista.
On Thursday, Jan. 24, detectives arrested Shah on a warrant issued by the Clark County District Attorney's Office for one count of sexual assault, and one count of open and gross lewdness.
Shah is a contracted doctor who reportedly has admitting privileges at North Vista, St. Rose Dominican Hospital, Sunrise Hospital and Mountain View Hospital.
Police said this is an ongoing investigation.
