Teen accused of exposing himself and stealing woman's necklace
Las Vegas, NV (KTNV) -- 19-year-old Huey Fleming is accused of exposing himself to women at a community center in the northeast Valley.
When a female fitness instructor approached him near the men's bathroom, police say he threw her against the wall.
"He just grabbed me by the neck and hit me on my face and grabbed my necklace that I had," the victim told Action News.
The woman, who did not want to be identified, said she's living in fear.
"I can't sleep, I'm just kind of nervous...I'm not the same person that I was," she said. "I think I'm never going to forget those eyes, the way he looked at me."
What bothered her most, though, is that she got away with her necklace.
"That's the necklace that my mom left me when she passed away," she said.
Officers Nathaniel Schuller and Walter Young interviewed witnesses and and searching the area for a suspect.
An anonymous tip from a neighbor led them to Huey Fleming and the stolen necklace, which they say Fleming pawned for $50.
"It means the world to us that the community will come out and help us, and tell us, and talk to us a little bit," Officer Schuller said. "That's what we need. That's how we solve crimes."
The victim was so thankful to get her necklace back.
Huey Fleming was charged with robbery and open and gross lewdness.
