Henderson, NV (KTNV) -- A new water park is starting to take shape in Henderson.
Builders broke ground on Cowabunga Bay in early December, and construction is transforming the 23-acre lot off Galleria Drive.
A photo posted to Cowabunga Bay's Facebook page on Wednesday shows the wave pool, lazy river, and pools starting to take shape.
Developers say the water park will feature more than 30 water slides and cost about $23 million.
The lazy river, called Cowabunga River, will be the largest in the state. The wave pool will be 32,000 square feet.
Across the Valley in the southwest part of Las Vegas, construction is underway on Wet 'n' Wild water park. Both resorts are scheduled to open this summer.
