MLB's Bryce Harper talks Las Vegas, clown questions and superstitions with Jimmy Kimmel
Las Vegas, NV (KTNV) -- Las Vegas native and baseball's bad boy Bryce Harper sat down with Jimmy Kimmel to answer a few "clown questions" this week.
Harper and Kimmel, who is also from Las Vegas, talked about growing up in the city and dispelled some common myths about life here.
Bryce Harper attended the College of Southern Nevada before being drafted. He spent the 2012 season with the Washington Nationals and was named NL Rookie of the Year. Harper also becomes the youngest person ever named to the All-Star Team after a stellar start to the season.
But what some know Harper best for is a catch phrase. During one interview session, Harper responded to a reporter's inquiry by saying, "That's a clown question, bro."
The phrase spread quickly and even Senator Harry Reid used it on Capitol Hill in one memorable sound byte.
Harper also told Jimmy Kimmel about some of his stranger superstitions. The slugger said he showers seven times and eats only Eggo waffles before taking the field each game.
