Nye County, NV (KTNV) -- 14 people in Pahrump are facing a variety of charges in connection with their possible involvement in a large-scale stolen property and narcotics operation.

Nye County Sheriff's Office detectives recently received information that electronics were being stolen from a local Wal-Mart in large quantity and being pawned and sold.

Five people were identified and three search warrants were executed on Jan. 13 by NCSO's Predator Task Force at the homes of Alora Hewitt, Rikki Lavender and Kricket Egan.

In addition to recovering stolen property during the search, the task force determined the residents were also under the influence of drugs.

All of them were placed under arrest.

On Jan. 14, Michelle Schulz and Rikki Wells attempted to steal electronics from the Pahrump Wal-Mart. They fled the scene after being spotted by Wal-Mart employees.

Michelle Schulz was later arrested by detectives and deputies. Wells has not been located at this time and is still being sought for questioning.

Evidence seized during the investigation, including cellphones, allowed the task forces to identify other suspects and target locations for future searches.

It is also suspected that property was stolen at several Wal-Mart locations in Las Vegas.

NCSO detectives will be working with Wal-Mart Asset Protection and the Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department as the investigation continues.

Detectives are confident that there are several more people involved in the operation and more arrests will be made.
