3-year-old girl dies following head-on collision
Las Vegas, NV (KTNV) -- A 3-year-old child has died following a head-on collision near Eastern Avenue and Pebble Road.
It happened around noon Monday.
Police said a black SUV, driven by a 36-year-old Las Vegas woman, was making a left turn onto Pebble from Eastern, with a flashing yellow arrow.
The second car involved was a silver Nissan, which was traveling on Eastern and through the intersection on a green light.
The two vehicles collided head on.
All occupants in both vehicles were transported to University Medical Center Trauma, where the 3-year-old was pronounced dead by medical personnel.
The driver of the SUV sustained moderate injuries, while the driver of the car, a 29-year-old male, was in critical condition.
Eastern was closed at Pebble in both directions, due to the crash, but has since reopened.
