Saudi sergeant accused of sexually assaulting boy in Las Vegas

Las Vegas, NV (KTNV) -- A sergeant in the Saudi Arabian Air Force is accused of sexually assaulting a 13-year-old boy in Las Vegas.

Police responded to reports of a sexual assault at a hotel on Las Vegas Boulevard the morning of New Year's Eve.

The 13-year-old boy, who was a guest in the hotel, reported being sexually assaulted by another guest at the hotel.

Detectives arrested 23-year-old Mazen Alotaibi of Saudi Arabia.

Authorities said Alotaibi was temporarily stationed at Lackland Air Force Base in San Antonio for training.

Alotaibi was booked at the Clark County Detention Center. He faces charges including sexual assault, lewdness with a minor, coercion with force and kidnapping.

Detectives continue to investigate the assault. Anyone with information is asked to call Crime Stoppers at 385-5555.
