Las Vegas, NV (KTNV) -- The beginning of January is usually a time when many start hitting the gym or toss their last pack of cigarettes in the trash.
But do you ever find those New Year's resolutions hard to keep?
According to Forbes magazine, the reason some resolutions fail is because they are not specific enough.
So, instead of just saying that you want to lose weight, make small changes to your daily routine to accomplish that.
For example, no processed foods or making sure that you get to the gym at least three days a week.
And, experts say not to make too many resolutions.
First, pick just one resolution. Next, set clear goals such as losing 10 pounds by a certain date. Then, track your progress.
Lastly, reward yourself for meeting those goals.
Also, to keep yourself on track, tell people about your resolution. One way you can do that is by using a tool from Google that allows you to tell the whole world.
