Las Vegas, NV (KTNV) -- The Clark County coroner's office has positively identified the girl's body found Thursday afternoon in the desert as 10-year-old Jade Morris.
The cause of death was multiple stab and incised wounds. The manner of death was homicide.
Coroner Mike Murphy said that the identification of Jade Morris was done using facial recognition, clothing and dental records. A DNA analysis is pending.
Morris was last seen with Brenda Jean Stokes Wilson, who was arrested the night of Dec. 21 for slashing a co-worker's face.
Stokes Wilson appeared in court this morning. The prosecutor requested that her bail be raised to $600,000 because of the likelihood that she was connected to disappearance of Jade Morris.
Charges are expected to also be filed against Stokes Wilson for the death of Jade Morris.
