Two die in mobile home fire on Boulder Highway
LAS VEGAS, NV (KTNV) -- Two people have died in a mobile home fire on Boulder Highway at the Miracle Mile Mobile Home Park.
Crews from both the Clark County Fire Department and Las Vegas Fire & Rescue responded to a report of a mobile home on fire at about 7:01 a.m. The first arriving unit reported heavy fire to the rear of and under the mobile home where the master bedroom was located.
Neighbors at the scene told firefighters that they had attempted to rescue the occupants of the mobile home but were unsuccessful.
Fire crews were able to get the fire under control within 15 minutes.
Fire crews then located the bodies of two adult victims in the master bedroom.
The Clark County coroner's office and Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department were called in to assist Clark County fire investigators in determining the cause of the fire and related fatalities.
The mobile home, which was approximately 40 years old, was heavily damaged. A damage estimate will be provided later.
Information about the victims, including names and ages, will be released by the coroner's office upon completion of the initial investigation and notifications.
Neighbors say that it was a man and a woman in their mid 30s.
