Flatscreen TV's are dropping in price, which means many of us are out there buying them.
But who would ever think they're dangerous?
New numbers have been released that every parent should see.
More kids than ever before are being killed from TV's and furniture falling on top of them.
The Consumer Product Safety Commission said 37 kids were killed from TV, furniture and appliance tipovers in 2012 alone. That's up 37-percent.
Another 23,000 children were rushed to emergency rooms.
There's a simple thing you can do right now to prevent this.
Experts said mount flatscreens on the wall and make sure they're secure. If you can't mount it, experts said buy a special strap and attach your TV and dresser to the wall.
Those straps cost less than $20.
