CREATED Dec. 12, 2012

(KTNV) -- Some car thieves got a little more than they bargained for when they stole a vehicle and found a 300-pound pig napping in the back seat.

It happened in Youngstown, Ohio. Pig owner Wendy Thrasher wasat a friend's house when someone stole her car with her potbellied pig, Penelope, in the back seat.

The police were able to find the vehicle pretty quick. The thieves crashed it and took off. Penelope was still inside, safte and sound.

Thrasher says that she suspects that her pig may not have been the nicest passenger and probably scare the crooks.
