Las Vegas, NV (KTNV) -- It's a story that's stirred controversy on the Internet this week. The Penn State Chapter of Chi Omega sorority puts the University back in the spotlight.

Coming off the infamous Sandusky trial, it's a social media disaster. Sorority sisters posting photos to social media sites like Facebook and Tumblr, forgetting the whole world can see.

The picture that has the sorority in hot water shows the group of girls dressed up for a Mexican-themed party. They pose with sombreros, fake mustaches and cardboard-colored signs. While that's all fun and games, it's the words on the signs that are causing a stir.  They read, "Will mow lawn for weed + beer" and "I don't cut grass I smoke it."

Is this is a matter of cultural ignorance or college humor? Either way, it's a sign of the times. Be careful what you post on the Internet.

The Penn State Panhellenic Council executive board released a statement apologizing for the insensitivity. More here:  [SOURCE]
