Red Kettle Campaign kicks off for the season
Las Vegas, NV (KTNV) -- The Salvation Army kicked off its annual Red Kettle Campaign Saturday.
It started with a Walk-A-Thon at Town Square.
Participants got friends and family to sponsor them for the number of laps they completed around the shopping center.
All proceeds from the walk will be added to the Red Kettle Campaign totals.
The Salvation Army is hoping to raise $700,000 this year throughout the Valley, with help from its volunteers.
Saturday's festivities also included music and entertainment.
Some participants even brought toys for the Salvation Army's Christmas Angel Program, which provides toys for children in need.
