1 dead, 1 arrested after fight near Jones and Cheyenne
Las Vegas, NV (KTNV) -- A man is dead after a fight turned violent this weekend near Cheyenne and Jones.
Police were called to the 3200 block of Point Lobos Drive just after 6:30 a.m. on Sunday.
When they arrived, they found a man in the front yard suffering a gunshot wound. Another man had multiple cuts on his face and head.
Both men were taken to University Medical Center, where the shooting victim was pronounced dead.
The second man, identified as 34-year-old Jason Sise, was treated for non-life-threatening injuries.
Police said Sise and the shooting victim were inside the house when they started fighting. The verbal altercation soon turned violent and shots were fired.
Sise was arrested and taken from the hospital to the Clark County Detention Center were he faces one count of murder with a deadly weapon.
The victim of the shooting has not been identified.
