Henderson, NV (KTNV) -- Henderson Police are investigating a crosswalk crash that left a 50-year-old woman badly injured.

The woman was hit in a marked crosswalk on Anthem Parkway and Somersworth Drive just before 5 p.m. Thursday night. Henderson Police say a 65-year-old woman drove past a car that had stopped.

Several people saw the crash, including a good Samaritan who performed CPR until paramedics arrived.

Neighbors say pedestrian warning lights were just installed a few months ago after they complained that the crossing lines weren't enough to keep them safe.

Susan Buntin says, "They speed like mad through here."

The woman who was hit was taken to University Medical Center in critical but stable condition. The driver remained at the scene. At the start of their investigation, Henderson Police were still determining whether the driver would be charged.
