Stepmother: Boy, 10, shot his neo-Nazi dad
RIVERSIDE, Calif. (AP) -- The wife of a neo-Nazi leader who was fatally shot says she discovered his bloodied body on the family couch.
Krista McCary testified Tuesday that her 10-year-old stepson came downstairs and confessed right after she found the body on May 1, 2011.
The boy, now 12, is charged as a juvenile with killing his father, 32-year-old Jeff Hall.
The unemployed plumber was a regional leader of the National Socialist Movement.
The child told police he was tired of being abused by his dad.
Defense attorney Matthew Hardy says the boy has learning disabilities and had been conditioned by his father's violent beliefs.
Prosecutor Michael Soccio says Hall's neo-Nazi beliefs have nothing to do with the case.
He says the boy was violent and had been expelled from multiple schools.
