Plea hearing delayed for young boys accused of killing kittens
Las Vegas, NV (KTNV) -- The plea hearing has been delayed for the two 11-year-old boys that are accused of throwing rocks at a litter kittens as they were born, leading to their deaths.
The hearing has been delayed until Nov. 13 because mental health evaluations have not been completed.
The incident took place at an apartment complex on West Russell Road near Fort Apache.
The boys were arrested Oct. 18 and charged with seven counts of animal cruelty.
A family court judge later released them but placed the boys under house arrest with ankle monitoring devices.
Each boy faces a maximum penalty of 30 days in a juvenile detention center and probation.
The boys have not been identified because of their age.
