Las Vegas, NV (KTNV) -- The Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department is investigating a deadly crash that happened around 2:45 a.m. Sunday.

Metro said a 2007 Nissan Altima was eastbound on Charleston Boulevard in the left lane, crossing Shadow Lane. A 1999 Ford F-150 was turning onto Shadow Lane from westbound Charleston. The front of the Nissan struck the front right of the Ford.

The 29-year-old driver of the Nissan was pronounced dead at the scene. Their name has not been released.

The driver of the other vehicle, 23-year-old Tatiana Taylor of Las Vegas, was taken to UMC in serious condition.

Police at the scene said the Nissan driver was speeding and ran a red light.

One of the cars involved in the crash burst into flames.

The intersection of Charleston Boulevard and Shadow Lane was blocked off as crews investigated.
