Pedestrian killed at Flamingo and Jones

Las Vegas, NV (KTNV) -- A pedestrian was struck and killed at about 8:30 p.m. Wednesday night by a man allegedly driving under the influence.

The accident happened near the intersection of West Flamingo Road and South Jones Boulevard.

According to witness statements and evidence at the scene, a 1997 Infinity Q45 was traveling west on Flamingo when it struck a pedestrian crossing the roadway outside of a crosswalk.

The pedestrian was transported to University Medical Center Trauma and was later pronounced dead by UMC medical personnel.

The driver initially left the scene without stopping but returned and was arrested for driving under the influence and hit and run.

The driver of the Infinity has been identified as 41-year-old Roland Biscailuz of Las Vegas.

The victim was a male in his 50s.

The coroner will release the identity of the victim pending notification and an official cause of death.
