Las Vegas, NV (KTNV) -- A local nonprofit group is helping clean up the area around UNLV that was hit hard by flooding last month.
Floors and equipment at local businesses were badly damaged after torrential rains back on September 11.
The organization SHARE is coordinating repair and cleanup efforts to get those businesses back on their feet.
SHARE says the project could take weeks with so much to get done and little funding.
"It's all volunteers and all of the materials have been donated," said Arnold Stalk, founder of SHARE. "We have a core of about a thousand volunteers in my database and that I call on for various things, whether it's a couple hours or bigger commitments like this one."
SHARE has also recruited the help of companies like TGJ Painting.
But once the new paint dries, the businesses will still need help.
"We have to buy everything, ketchup mustard... all that stuff," one business owner said.
SHARE says they'll be there all along the way to help.
"We take one step at a time and our goal is to get them back and working whatever it takes," Stalk said.
