Organizers call first ever Las Vegas GlowRun a success
Las Vegas, NV (KTNV) -- Downtown Las Vegas is cleaning up after Sunday night's GlowRun; the first ever for the 5k race.
An estimated 3,000 runners gathered at the starting line at Bridger and Las Vegas Boulevard.
And it wasn't just tennis shoes they were sporting. There were different costumes, face and body paint, hats, lights and glowing everything.
Runners made their way 5 kilometers towards the finish line at El Cortez hotel-casino, where an after-party awaited them.
This event was sponsored by Seven Magazine and Insomniac. That's the same group that puts on the Electric Daisy Carnival. For locals, many were excited to bring families to this unique event.
Some of the money raised in registration fees will go to Aid for AIDS of Nevada.
