Las Vegas, NV (KTNV) -- Presidential hopeful Mitt Romney rallied supporters at an event in Las Vegas on Friday.

The event took place at Cox Pavilion at UNLV in front of about 2,000 of Romney supporters.

Romney's message focused on the economy, a critical subject to many local voters.

"You're going to have a president that encourages people to come to Las Vegas for company meetings, not to stay home or go somewhere else," Romney said.

Though most of the crowd was made up of Romney supporters, some attending the event said they remain undecided voters.

Nevada remains a key battleground state as the candidates prepare for the November 6 election.

President Obama has made several appearances in recent weeks to rally voters in Nevada, including a trip to Las Vegas last Wednesday.
