Las Vegas, NV (KTNV) -- A 63-year-old North Las Vegas resident is dead and 5 other people are injured after a crash involving an ambulance on Tuesday morning.

The crash happened at about 10:30 a.m. at Decatur and Craig in northeast Las Vegas.

Police say witnesses indicated the ambulance was driving through the intersection with lights and sirens active when a Nissan Frontier entered the intersection on a green light, striking the ambulance.

The ambulance -- which was taking a woman to the hospital -- rolled over on its left side.

That woman later died at Mountain View Hospital. It's unclear whether she died as a result of the crash or because of her pre-existing medical condition. Police say she was a 63-year-old North Las Vegas resident.

A North Las Vegas firefighter, emergency medical technician and two MedicWest personnel who were in the ambulance at the time of the crash were all taken to University Medical Center with non-life threatening injuries.

The driver of the truck involved was also taken to UMC with minor injuries.

The intersection was shut down for several hours.
