Las Vegas, NV (KTNV) -- The Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department was called to a serious crash Saturday afternoon.

It happened around 12:45 p.m. near Eastern and Owens Avenues.

22-year-old Julio Enriquez of Las Vegas was driving an SUV and trying to turn left from Owens onto Eastern, when he struck a bus stop bench.

The SUV struck a man, a woman and a female toddler. The toddler is in critical condition after suffering two broken legs and a broken pelvis. The two adults are in serious condition.

After the crash, police said Enriquez fled the scene and drove behind some buildings, where witnesses detained him until police arrived.

He was then arrested for driving under the influence of drugs, hit and run and driving without a driver's license.
