2 killed, 1 injured in crash on Centennial Center

Las Vegas, NV (KTNV) -- Two people are dead after a single-vehicle accident on Centennial Center Boulevard just east of Grand Montecito Parkway. The accident occurred just after 6:30 a.m. Sunday.

Witnesses told police the Nissan was driving eastbound on Centennial Center Boulevard possibly racing another car. Las Vegas Metropolitan Police say the vehicle left its travel lane and slid onto the raised median. The vehicle then continued and hit a palm tree, which caused the Nissan to rollover and resting on its roof.

The 21-year-old male driver of the Nissan and a 19-year-old male passenger were pronounced dead on the scene.

A 22-year-old female passenger was partially ejected and transported to University Medical Center Trauma with critical injuries.

Metro believes that speed may have been a contributing factor to the accident.
