New York City car crash kills 5, including 2 kids

NEW YORK (AP) -- Five people, including two children, have been killed in an early morning car crash in New York City. Three other people, including another child, have been hospitalized.
Police say a Mercedes Benz SUV carrying 8 people was traveling on Atlantic Avenue east of the Van Wyck Expressway in Queens at around 3:15 a.m. Sunday.
The vehicle hit a concrete pillar, then flipped and rolled over. Police say it ended up on its side and burst into flames.
Three adult passengers, all women, were declared dead at the scene, as were an 8-year-old girl and a 9-year-old boy.
The driver, a 45-year-old woman, is in stable condition at Jamaica Hospital, along with a 26-year old man and a 7-year-old boy.
