Overton, NV (KTNV) -- The tight-knit community of Overton is mourning one family's loss after a deadly crash on Interstate 15 on Wednesday.

The Fox family was traveling on I-15 that afternoon, delivering a trailer as a favor for a friend. Troopers say that's when a tire blew, flipping the Ford F-250 carrying a couple and their three sons.

30-year-old Dani Fox and her 3-year-old son Zachary were declared dead at the scene.

Cody Fox and the couple's 4 and 6-year-old sons survived. They were rushed to University Medical Center and are expected to recover.

Relatives tell Action News Cody is doing better, although he has severe swelling to his head. Meanwhile, they're also making funeral arraignments for Dani and her son.

Two good Samaritans that stopped to render aid were the Beckstrands. Coincidentally, they knew the victims.

Carrie and Logandale Fire Chief Scott Beckstrand saw the accident and stopped to help.

"We realized we knew him," said Beckstrand.

Even though they were an hour away from home, turns out, they were helping their neighbors, fellow church members, and fellow volunteer EMT firefighters.

If you'd like to help the Fox family there's been a fund set up at America First Credit Union.
