Las Vegas police plan symposium to discuss traffic safety
Las Vegas, NV (KTNV) -- The Las Vegas Metro Police Department is planning a symposium to discuss the rise in traffic accidents and how the trend can be reversed.
The symposium on Thursday will bring together business, government and nonprofit leaders to discuss solutions to help improve traffic safety.
Police say there's been a 4.8 percent rise in traffic accidents so far this year over last year. There has also been a 80.6 percent increase in the number of traffic-related fatalities.
The event will take place at Metro headquarters.
