2012 Fourth of July festivities in Las Vegas Valley

The following is a list of fireworks, parades and other events in the Las Vegas Valley for July 4, 2012:

FIREWORKS:

FIREWORKS AT LAKE LAS VEGAS
WHEN: 9 p.m. June 30
WHERE: The Village at Lake Las Vegas
COST: Free

There will be live music and food and beverages available for purchase, including barbecue, beginning at 6 p.m. Firework show will begin at about 9 p.m.

NORTH LAS VEGAS FIREWORKS
WHEN: 6-9:30 p.m. July 3, gates open at 5
WHERE: Seastrand Park, 6330 Camino El Dorado
COST: $4 general admission (5 wristbands for $15)
The 12th annual Independence Day Jubilee will feature a kids corner, a teen zone, inter-active sponsors, food and beverage vendors, live entertainment and a spectacular fireworks display.

ANNUAL NIGHT OF FIRE AT BULLRING
WHEN: Gates open at 5 p.m., racing at 7 and fireworks at 9:30
WHERE: The Bullring, Las Vegas Motor Speedway, 7000 Las Vegas Blvd. North
COST: $15 general admission. Discounts for seniors, military and kids

The annual event will feature stock car racing, SMRA Supermodifieds and a fireworks display.

FIREWORKS AT PROVIDENCE'S KNICKERBOCKER PARK

The Providence master-planned community will host a Fourth of July celebration and fireworks at Knickerbocker Park. There will be a band, contests, food vendors and more.

STATION CASINOS' FIREWORKS
WHEN: 9 p.m. July 4
WHERE: Aliante Station, Green Valley Ranch resort, Fiesta Rancho, Texas Station and Red Rock Resort.
COST: Free
Station Casinos' 4th of July fireworks will feature nine minutes of fireworks by Grucci's of New York.

CITY OF HENDERSON FIREWORKS
WHEN: 6-9 p.m. July 4
WHERE: Million Hills Park, 551 E. Mission Drive

The annual celebration will feature live entertainment by The Randy Anderson Band, a Battle of the Bands contest featuring 9 high school bands, and fireworks at 9 p.m.

FIREWORKS AT LAS VEGAS 51S GAME
WHEN: July 4, after the game
WHERE: Cashman Field, downtown Las Vegas
COST: $14 all seats
There will also be a family carnival from 3 to 6 p.m. featuring games, food and live music. Flat-screen televisions will be given away to fans during the game.

FIREWORKS AT PRIMM VALLEY
WHEN: 9:30 p.m. July 4
WHERE: Primm Valley
COST: Free
Primm Valley will once again put on a spectacular fireworks show for the 4th of July. The prime viewing location will be situated behind Buffalo Bill's in the Star of the Desert Arena parking lot.

FIREWORKS IN BOULDER CITY

WHEN: 9 p.m. July 4
WHERE: Veteran's Memorial Park
COST: Free, $10 parking
MORE INFO: Boulder City Damboree
The 64th annual Boulder City Damboree will begin with a pancake breakfast at 7 a.m. in Bicentennial Park. The event will also feature a parade at 9 a.m. and booths in Broadbent Park. The fireworks show will begin at Veteran's Memorial Park at approximately 9 p.m.

CAESARS PALACE FIREWORKS
WHEN: 9:15 p.m. July 7
WHERE: Caesars Palace, Las Vegas Boulevard South
COST: Free
Caesars Palace will shoot fireworks from the rooftop of the Roman Tower on July 7.

"RED, WHITE AND TUNES" at LAS VEGAS SPRINGS PRESERVE

WHEN: 8-10 p.m. June 30, gates open at 6
WHERE: Las Vegas Springs Preserve, 333 S. Valley View Blvd.
COST: $5 general admission, discount for children

The event will feature a performance by the University of Las Vegas, Nevada Community Band and the barbershop/a cappella quartet Ready or Not. There will be ice cream, snow cones and hot dogs available for purchase.

YANKEE DOODLE AT THE POOL

COST: $1 for ages 4-17; $2 for ages 18-49; $1.50 for ages 50+; and free for ages 0-3
Participate in water games and activities in celebration of Independence Day at Carlos L. Martinez and Darrio J. Hall Family Pool on North Pecos; Doolittle Pool on North J Street; Municipal Pool on East Bonanza Road; and Pavilion Center Pool on South Pavilion Center Drive.

PARADE IN SUMMERLIN
WHEN: 9-11 a.m. July 4

The 18th annual Summerlin Council Patriotic Parade will begin at 9 .m. at the corner of Hillpointe Road and Hills Center Drive in The Trails Village. Features more than 60 entries, including performing bands and groups.

FREMONT STREET EXPERIENCE

SILVERTON POOL PARTY

UFC INTERNATIONAL FIGHT WEEK 4TH OF JULY CONCERT
WHEN: 9 p.m. July 4
WHERE: 3rd Street Stage, Fremont Street Experience
3 Doors Down will perform at free concert at 9 p.m. on July 4. Other events during Fight Week include the UFC Octagon Nation Tour from 11 a.m. until 11 p.m. July 4-7 featuring the UFC Octagon Truck, UFC athletes, UFC video games and memorabilia. There will also be a pub crawl from 6 to 8 p.m. July 5 hosted by UFC fighters.

FOURTH OF JULY AT THE PALAZZO POOL

Enjoy a poolside barbecue featuring seasonal fruit salad, macaroni salad, balsamic and honey-glazed St. Louis ribs, classic beef sliders, chicken skewers, sliced watermelon and more. DJs will also provide entertainment all weekend long beginning on July 6. DJ Mike Gold will be featured July 6; Hed Kandi on July 7; and DJ Roman on July 8.

PBR will offer $5 Washington Apple shots and $1 mechanical bull rides on the 4th of July. Also enjoy happy hour specials from 3 to 6 p.m. including $3 drafts. two-for-one cocktails, $5 shots and $19 Budweiser buckets.

CRAZY HORSE III

Crazy Horse III will host its "Industry Independence" party beginning at 9 p.m. Budweiser and Bud Light specials. Jack Daniel shorts for $2.

EL CORTEZ
WHEN: July 4
The El Cortez in downtown Las Vegas will be serving free White Castle cheeseburgers to celebrate Independence Day. Club Cortez members can enjoy the free cheeseburgers while the play slots and table games from noon to 6 p.m.

LYNYRD SKYNYRD BBQ & BEER
WHEN: July 4
WHERE: Excalibur, 3850 Las Vegas Blvd. South
The restaurant will feature an Independence Day Barbecue Platter, priced at $17.76. The dish is piled high with three slices of juicy beef brisket (which has received recognition from FoodNetwork), two spare ribs and a hearty sausage link. Lynyrd Skynyrd BBQ & Beer also will feature the Free Bird cocktail made with Red Stag, Citronage, blackberries and lime sour for $10.

CABO WABO CANTINA
WHERE: Planet Hollywood, 3667 Las Vegas Blvd. South
The restaurant will feature drink specials including $15 pitchers and $25 Dos Equis and Coors Light buckets for the 4th of July.

MINUS 5
WHERE: Mandalay Place and Monte Carlo
Any customer that wears a Minus 5 t-shirt will receive $5 off any entry package on July 4. In addition, customers are invited to try the ice bar's newest cocktail, the Frosty Mojito.

RANCH HOUSE KITCHEN
WHERE: Town Square, 6605 Las Vegas Blvd. South
Ranch House Kitchen will offer 20% off barbecue menu selections on the 4th of July. In addition, an all-day happy hour will feature $3 well cocktails, $3 domestic drags and $10 bottomless domestic drafts.

RHUMBAR
WHERE: The Mirage, 3400 Las Vegas Blvd. South
Rhumbar will celebrate 4th of July with a party of their patio beginning at 2 p.m. Specials include $5 vodka-mixed drinks, Sweet Strawberry Rum Punch, 16-ounce Coors Light bottles as wells as $18 buckets of domestic beer and $8 house cigars. Starting at 3 p.m., guests may order hookahs.

RICE & COMPANY
WHERE: Luxor, 3900 Las Vegas Blvd. South
The restaurant will feature a festive sushi roll, the Firework Roll is made with spicy tuna, avocado, yellowtail and caviar, wrapped in seaweed and topped with spicy mayo and hot chili sauce, priced at $16. Rice & Company will also feature the specialty Bombshell cocktail made with Absolut Vodka, Triple sec, Chambord and Frothee. The cocktail, priced at $7, is served over ice and rimmed with pop rocks for a fireworks explosion. These 2 items will be available throughout the entire month of July.

TABU

Tabu is featuring three special cocktails for the month of July to celebrate Independence Day -- the Red Julip, the White Night and the Blue Sparkler. All three cocktails cost $12 each.

TACOS & TEQUILA

The restaurant will offer the 100-ounce Flagpole Daiquiri layered with frozen flavors including red strawberry daiquiri, white piña colada and blue coconut banana. Guaranteed to help guests beat the Las Vegas heat, the specialty daiquiri will be available at T&T’s daiquiri bar during the month of July, priced at $35 with refills available for $25.

FREE ADMISSION TO COUNTY POOLS/SKATE PARK
Clark County is offering free admission July 4 from noon to 4 p.m. to county pools/waterparks. Free admission is also offered at the Hollywood Skate Park near Sahara Avenue and Hollywood Boulevard from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Parent/guardian permission required.

Outdoor pools within unincorporated areas in the Las Vegas Valley will operate from 12 p.m. to 4 p.m.  on July Fourth. Hours at rural locations on Independence Day are as follows: Laughlin Water Park, 2 p.m. to 6 p.m. (702) 299-9955; Logandale Pool, 12:30 p.m. to 4:30 p.m., (702) 398-3126; Overton Pool, 1 p.m. to 5 p.m., (702) 397-2684; Indian Springs Pool, 1 p.m. to 5 p.m., (702) 879-3023. The County's water parks include twisting slides, gushing fountains, play areas and shallow pools for young swimmers. Pool rules include: proper swim attire required; children age 8 and under must be accompanied by an adult; and no alcohol or glass containers allowed.

FESTIVE FOURTH OF JULY COMMUNITY MEAL
WHEN: 10 to 11 a.m. July 4
WHERE: Catholic Charities of Southern Nevada, St. Vincent Lied Dining Facility
The special Community Meal provided will consist of grilled hot dogs, baked beans, potato chips, ice cream and strawberry lemonade.  The dining room is prepared to serve 750 meals.

FOURTH OF JULY MILITARY DISCOUNTS AT AQUAE SULIS SPA
WHERE: JW MarriAs a special thank you to military personnel, Aquae Sulis Spa will increase its standing 20 percent military discount to 30 percent on Wednesday, July 4, in celebration of the Fourth of July. Guests must show a valid military ID to receive the discount.
